		<description>I think you might be drawing a long bow to be assuming that my comment is representative of the overall opinion of Microsoft.  My comment was entirely personal, and not on behalf of my employer.  I put a disclaimer in so that everything is out in the open.

Congratulations on getting Vmotion approved for change during the day - I&#039;ve worked with many clients who didn&#039;t bother with that and simply turned things like DRS on and somehow just ignored it in their change management process.
And yes, many enterprises I&#039;ve worked in do only make changes in defined change windows - including doing things like changing failed disks, removing servers from the data center etc.  Don&#039;t get me wrong, live Migration is a great technology and I can&#039;t wait till we have it as well...

You also didn&#039;t address the other half - you&#039;re working in an organisation that is mature enough to get Vmotion included in it&#039;s change control process but you can&#039;t automate a patch application?  I&#039;m pretty sure that you&#039;ve probably got tools in there with that capability.
